A carefree month in Buenos Aires with my boyfriend. It was perfection.
If you had a time machine, what historical moment would you rewrite?

I don't think I would rewrite anything, but I'd love to walk around San Francisco or New York in the 60's!
What are you most proud of?

I once won a Rice Krispie treat bake-off!
What's the weirdest job you've ever had (before Free Range)?

House cleaning. It may sound ordinary, but things can get weird quick.
If you could have one magic item what would it be?

Easy -- a teleporting machine.
What’s your favorite board game, and why?

I love a good game of Scrabble. I use the acceptable 2-letter word list to my advantage.

Emily brings to Free Range her experience in the nonprofit space and a love of all things beautiful, well-balanced and inspiring. She became passionate about creating positive change while studying Global Cultures at UC Irvine, where she researched the positive and negative effects of globalization on people and cultures. Armed with what she had discovered, Emily was determined to take advantage of emerging technologies in the rapidly changing world to improve communities around her. After implementing an online communications strategy at a Sacramento nonprofit, focused on regional collaboration to build the clean tech economy, she joined the Free Range team. Emily has also worked with the Montclair Community Action Group, Free Wheelchair Mission, and Humanities Out There. As Business Development Intern, Emily keeps track of new collaboration opportunities and lends support to the bustling Oakland office.

Emily is an active advocate for veteran support and immigration rights, and her love of the outdoors has resulted in a personal goal: to visit all of the East Bay Regional Parks by the end of 2012. In addition to enjoying museums and cooking, she's also a fierce crafter, known to carry a glue gun in her purse for any spontaneous adhesion needs.
