In His Own Words

  • What do you do? (in 5 words or fewer)

    Navigate, diplomatize, support, structure, adapt.

  • What's the weirdest job you've ever had (before free range)?

Graveyard groundskeeper. I weed-whacked for 40 hours per week for two summers during high school/college. I would start at the front of the lot on Monday morning and by the time I reached the back it’d be Friday afternoon. Then I’d start all over.

  • What are you most proud of?

Staying dedicated to a year-long workout regimen for my race across Jordan. I trained 6 days a week and was on a crazy, super high-calorie diet for what seemed to be forever. It’s amazing what the human body can accomplish when you stick to your goals.

  • Who is your hero?

My dad. He was always an active guy and taught me how to recognize and take advantage of the important things in life.

  • What’s your favorite board game, and why?

Hungry Hungry Hippos. I think I had a lot of energy as a kid and hitting the marble-eating-chomper-lever was pure catharsis.

  • What would you be willing to die for?

I’d take a bullet for my family. Or maybe be ok with dying due to some epic extreme sport failure, like if I was BASE jumping and my wingsuit got caught on a branch jutting out from cliff and I spiraled down into a deep, black canyon of nothingness (what, you guys don’t think about these things?).
