Health Reform Hits Main Street

Their steadfast belief:

Healthcare reform is not too complicated for regular people to understand. And when they do, the debate can get far more productive.

Brought vividly to life:

Our friends at KFF did the hard work for us. They actually read the health care reform bill and figured out what it said. Then they needed to get a simplified explanation out there that people would bother to watch. It was a tough request: make it fun, make it clever but don’t even think about making it biased or dumbed down. Gulp. So we invented the Youtoons, 25 little avatars who represented all 350 million Americans. And then with Cokie Roberts reading our script, we showed how the lives of these characters would change as the bill rolled out. It worked! More than half a million people tuned in and Time magazine said the movie proved the bill is “not impossible to understand.” The Washington Post also made us smile when they recommended the video saying “it's not a dumbed-down explanation of the law. It's actually surprisingly comprehensive.”
