Nonprofit Common Sense Media provides parents, educators, and policymakers with the information they need to make informed decisions about media and technology.
When the organization reached out to Free Range to create a digital and interactive report showcasing their 15 years of impact on the lives of children and families, we couldn’t wait to get started.
Common Sense Media wanted to create a comprehensive overview of their work, research, and resources to celebrate their 15th anniversary. They also wanted to engage their stakeholders in a meaningful way.
To do this, they decided to create a digital and interactive impact report that would allow users to explore the information at their own pace.
Utilizing insights and statistics collected by the CSM team from their own research, surveys, and prior reports, we envisioned a clean, intuitive user experience that would mix key pieces of copy with infographics, interactive charts, and videos.
We also prioritized accessibility, taking into account color contrast, font size, and other accessibility features to ensure all users could find the information they were looking for.
The final report is designed to be visually appealing and user-friendly, giving users the opportunity to explore the data in a more engaging way than a traditional report would allow.
Following the success of the original 15th anniversary report, Common Sense Media reached out again earlier this year to create a similar interactive site for their 20th anniversary.
We were honored to help raise awareness of Common Sense Media's work.
